Plane Space Design Accepted by ATDC

Georgia Incubator for Product Development Sees Potential

May 4, 2009 -- Nearly two years ago, an agreement between two organizations, Plane Space Design and ATDC, to cooperate laid the framework for the foundation of Photonic Power Systems International. Plane Space Design applied for membership in ATDC on the basis of a stock design. This design was the photonic power supply and it was deemed good enough to get Plane Space Design a spot on the roster of Georgia Companies working on advanced technologies of recognizable commercial value.

Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) is a part of Georgia Institute of Technology's Innovation Institute program. Its mission is to support and foster the development of technology products created by Georgia based companies that will directly impact the economic and labor environment of the state.

Plane Space Design is a premier design firm operating in the state of Georgia. The product that it has submitted to ATDC, the Photonic Power Supply, is one of many high technology products that the company has designed within its 15 years of existence.

Important to the formation of the current manufacturing company, Photonic Power Systems International, was the guidance provided by University of Georgia's Small Business Development Center in Savannah. The owner of Plane Space Design consulted with SDBC for help in the application process to ATDC. SBDC has continued to support the evolution of the product development process centered around the Photonic Power Supply and has been the principal source of guidance for the foundation of the corporation that will market the product.
